and let's hope they include the UK in the tour. I bet we can find a castle or 2 to accomodate them!

Plans for a show at a major Scottish castle fell through a couple of weeks back. The tour plans are still being worked out, watch this space.

This is the message we received for the dutch fans by the management. So I think there won't be any other tourdates this year,

With the new label being centered in germany we will only have shows in germany this year-
Hopefully we will make it to Holland in 2011

UK Dates

Postby Stakeholderman » Fri Mar 19, 2010 3:29 pm

So there are no UK dates for this year then, that's two years running. Starting to get the feeling that Mr and Mrs Blackmore don't care about their English fans. Very, very disappointing. We can't all just pop over to Germany!

Birthday Boy

Postby Olden Tyme Oaf » Wed Apr 14, 2010 9:43 am

Happy Birthday Ritchie, have a great one.

We in the UK are feeling a little abandoned at the mo,so given that DP seem to be well active on the road it would be great to see BN live here soon.

I'm hoping plans are afoot to play in Buxton and York in the not too distant future as i have amazingly fond memories of your previous BN concerts there.

Oh well, enjoy the day,and please remember you have extremely loyal servants in this country that await your return.

Cheers.

Happy Birthday indeed to our favourite knight & minstrel. Hopefully he will enjoy an ale or two. You are forever young to your fans.

And please come to the UK. There are great venues galore and very appropriate ones for BN. We are all going into withdrawal!

I am quite sure Mr. Blackmore will be enjoying an ale or two this evening! I also sincerely hope that the band will be touring the UK in the near future but it looks like it might be 2011! At least the new album seems to be coming along nicely. I just read that 14 tracks were recorded (I have no idea how many songs will be on the album when it is released!).

There is a slight possibility that I will be going to a German show or two so I can personally combat any withdrawal symptoms!

Lets all raise a glass to Ritchie's health!

Cheers, Richard

It would certainly seem that the band are ignoring the UK again this year.

I read on the Planet Rock website that a new album is planned. As someone who has bought most of their albums to date and taken the opportunity to see them play live when they bother to come to the UK, I am seriously considering not putting my hand in my pocket on this occasion. I doubt Mr Blackmore will loose any sleep over whether I buy the bands albums or not, but I am becoming seriously pi**ed off at their constant snubbing of the UK.

There are many new bands out there making great cd's and backing them up with live gigs to promote their music. They'll be getting my money for the foreseeable future.

If BN return to the UK to play live I'll be there, perhaps then I'll buy the albums I haven't yet got.

Rant over.
We're just spinning leaves
In the flight of dawn
Little girl
Falling through an eternal horizon of time
But I'd like to think as we lie
That all we've got will be ours forever
Don't you think we're forever

I agree it is sometimes difficult to maintain the momentum of support when they aren't touring here, but my husband and I personally own close to 500 CDs, and have only seen gazillionth of a percent of those artists (is a gazillionth a word??) but I carry on loving those artists none the less, because good music is good music even if I don't see it live. We both live in hope of seeing Ritchie live, whether he plays guitar, hurdy gurdy, kazoo . . .

If you look at their tour list, it is very small. They don't even tour the states very much despite it being their homeland.

Please let us all keep the faith in a tour and think how much we will enjoy it because of the extreme anticipation!
